26 May 2025|81 views
The new Volkswagen Tayron's five-star rating in the latest Euro NCAP test underlines the outstanding safety equipment of the new model and, at the same time, the high standards of Volkswagen.
The Tayron was judged on four criteria: Adult Occupant Protection, Child Occupant Protection, Vulnerable Road User Protection (e.g. pedestrians, cyclists, etc.) and the safety support provided by driver assist and accident prevention systems. Thus, the first-class results achieved by the SUV reflect not only the continuous improvement of safety standards, but also the excellent equipment featuring assist systems for accident prevention as standard.
The Tayron's entry-level version is equipped with assist systems such as autonomous emergency braking (front assist) with pedestrian and cyclist monitoring, a lane keeping system, lane change system side assist, and front cross traffic assist, among others.
Other standard safety-relevant features include a front airbag for thedriver and front passenger (with front passenger front airbag deactivation), safety-optimised head restraints at the front and rear, a three-point automatic seat belt with belt tensioner for the outer rear seats, and both acoustic warning and warning lamps for both front and rear unfastened belts.
