Nine people injured in multiple vehicle accident

In an accident which involved two cars and a motorcycle, nine people were injured. The accident took place along a stretch of shophouses in Upper Bukit Timah Road.
The Straits Times reported that one of the cars had its bumper smashed, with a metal pole going through its windscreen. It appeared to have crashed onto the railings at the side of the road.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it received a call for assistance at 7:08am, upon which it dispatched one fire engine and three ambulances to the scene. A spokesman for SCDF confirmed that nine people were hurt in the accident and were taken to the National University Hospital.
