We have previously reported on the rumoured updates that the ever-popular GT-R would get for its 2014 model. Nissan has now released official details to end the speculation on the revisions that the 2014 GT-R will receive.
The twin-turbo 3.8-litre V6 engine with its 542bhp features new high-output injectors for improving mid and high-rpm response. The turbocharger has a new relief valve for suppressing the rapid decrease of forced injection pressure which should improve response. There's also a new oil pan baffle designed to maintain pressure and lower friction.
The GT-R's suspension has been re-tuned in sync with previous reports, with revisions to its dampers, springs and front anti-roll bar for lowering the centre of gravity. Camber accuracy and stability during cornering have been improved thanks to new cam bolts on the front suspension.
The end result is improved engine response and sharper handling, which will serve to please many car fans whom are already in love with what the GT-R can do.
