Michael Krumm and Peter Drumback saw themselves in the midst of the action, roaring from the back of the grid to take a respectable 15th place and Seiji Ara and Max Nilsson finishing at a 21st position after Neilsson lost power during his run.
"Both Jamie and I had good stints", said Hughes. "I pitted early as I was behind another car and I wanted to get into the clear air. All in all we had a good race but it's no good if you start from the back so we need to sort qualifying out as soon as we can."
Henri Moser took his team i.e. the No.3 Swiss Racing Team Nissan GT-R after Karl Wendlinger had put on a impressive show pushing his team from 14th to 8th place, and then finally to a commendable 5th position before he pitted. Henri took the good lead that Karl had started, worked on it, and brought the care home to a good 10th place.
Moser was elated about the result. Moser, who had a struggle with the cold tyres for the first couple of laps into his run, pushed harder later on to make up for the lost time. He felt great to have scored Championship points for his team.
Michael Krumm on the other hand had to start at the back of the grid after an earlier accident. He made good ground moving up a few positions.
The last of the Nissan GT-R of the No.4 Swiss Racing team car came home at 21st position. "I think we are much closer to the pace now," said the Swiss Racing Team Principal Othmar Welti. In short, it was a commendable performance by the Nissan teams in a race which was dominated by the Aston Martin DB9 and Lamborghinis. The Aston DB9 driven by Turner and Enge finished 1st in the race at a total time of 1:00:59.709
