Nissan unveils the Fuga at the Tokyo Motor Show

The Fuga will have a choice of two engine options, with either a 2.5 litre V6, or a 3.7 litre 328bhp V6. The bigger engine will also form the base of a future Fuga hybrid model, which will have "a single electric motor/twin clutch arrangement".

Nissan says that this means the first clutch is installed between the naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6 and the electric motor. As a result, with all the components acting on a single prop shaft to the rear differential, there is a consistent driving feel and driving responses under all conditions with linear performance.

The Fuga is packed with the latest technological features, among them Double Piston Shock Absorbers with variable damping and an Intelligent Transport System, which alerts the driver about upcoming obstacles via the navigation system. The interior is also decked out in leather upholstery and wood trim, and features an odour suppressing climate control system.
