15 Jun 2014|1,835 views
Japanese automaker Nissan will make history at the upcoming 24 Hours of Le Mans by competing with a mirrorless ZEOD RC race car. This is the first time that a car manufacturer of modern era has chosen, intentionally, to compete in the race with a car without rear view mirrors. Drivers will rely on a rear camera and radar system to check for traffic during the race.
The mirrorless system is part of Nissan's safety initiative, the Nissan Safety Shield, and aims to improve Nissan's Smart Mirror system for the road.
