Novitec gets its hands on the Alfa Romeo MiTo

The 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol unit gets a power bump from 153bhp to 183bhp, while torque climbs 22lb ft to 192lb ft. This cuts the hot hatch's 0-100km/h time to 7.4sec, from around eight seconds when you buy it off the showroom floor.

To aesthetically compliment the added power, Novitec has slapped on their sport springs, which lower the ride height by 40mm, while stainless steel coil-over suspension, complete with adjustable ride height and dampers, come as options. Filling up the wheel-arcs are bespoke 18inch Novitec alloys, with the option of a silver or matte black finish, wrapped in 215/35 R18 Pirelli high-performance tyres.

Other body modifications come in the form of a front splitter and new rear spoiler, as well as larger bumpers and a rear apron with a body-coloured diffuser.

The MiTo will also get a tuned exhaust, which is apparently developed for maximum power yield as well as providing a throatier exhaust note. Options for the exhaust requires you to choose between having one, two or four pipes.
