Pagani to showcase unique Zonda Tricolore edition

The car was built by Pagani to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Frecce Tricolori, Italy's air force's aerobatic division. The Zonda Tricolore is based on the Zonda Cinque edition. Unlike the Cinque, of which 10 units will be built, the Zonda Tricolore will be a special one-off unit that will be bound for Spain, after being displayed at the Pagani stand at the Geneva Motor Show.

The Zonda Tricolore has a tub that is made from carbon fibre weaved with titanium wire, with a pure carbon fibre body. There are also unique LED lights at the front that look like the tail fin of an airplane. The Cinque's air intake snorkel has been replaced by a small vertical fin on top of the engine cover.

The Zonda Tricolore also features a paintjob that is inspired by both the Italian flag and the Frecce Tricolori, with red, white and green stripes running across the clear blue lacquer polish body. The transmission of the Zonda Tricolore is an automated paddle-shift type.
