Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) has announced the creation of the Sebastien Ogier 9x World Champion Edition special edition of the GR Yaris, unveiling the currently under-development prototype at the 2026 FIA World Rally Championship.
This special edition GR Yaris is said to commemorate TGR World Rally Team driver Sebastien Ogier's 2025 WRC title and features his preferences and individuality, based on the GY Yaris' "Aero performance package" that was launched in 2025.
This special edition model pays homage to Sebastien Ogier's heritage in many ways, one of which is by featuring the colours of his home country's flag
This means that the Sebastien Ogier 9x World Champion Edition GR Yaris features an exclusive 4WD control mode and a "Morizo" 4WD control mode replacing the "Gravel" mode of the base vehicle for maximum binding force between the front and rear wheels during acceleration.
The special edition model's exclusive exterior colour is the new "Black Gravite" and it is completed by black matt wheels, blue brake callipers, and a tricolour decoration on the radiator grille inspired by the French flag, which is Ogier's home country. Inside, the modified steering wheel is slightly smaller than that of the base model and has mounted switches independently laid out.
This special edition model features a slightly smaller steering wheel that has mounted switches for ease of handling
Its vertical parking brake features a newly developed leather-wrapped grip with exclusive grey stitching, while the interior also features a special serial-number plate commemorating Ogier's 2025 WRC title.
Only 100 units will be available for the Japanese market via a purchasing lottery, with applications accepted from Q2 2026 via the TGR official smartphone application "GR app". It will also be released in certain European markets in a limited run of 100 units.
