Performance Motors Limited (PML) has announced that its flagship showroom, located at 303 Alexandra Road, has been recognised as a "BMW Retail.Next Lighthouse" by the BMW Group for its excellence in design, digital innovation, and customer experience.
PML is among an exclusive group of BMW dealers worldwide to achieve the Lighthouse status. It is the only showroom in Singapore to receive this certification, and one of three within Southeast Asia, in addition to Malaysia and Thailand.
More than a traditional showroom, the PML BMW Retail.Next Lighthouse is designed as a lifestyle destination, combining immersive displays, digital tools, and curated experiences with premium hospitality.
Among the criteria for BMW Retail.Next Lighthouse certification are the digital processes and tools that enhance customer experience. These include an Automated Number Plate Recognition, which makes it more efficient for service staff to find individual cars across the various servicing bays and workshops; Contactless Key Drop Lockers, which allows customers to skip the queue; and Facial Recognition, which allows BMW Luxury Class and M customers to access the exclusive Performance Lounge on the third floor.
Another key criterion for BMW Retail.Next Lighthouse recognition is the ability to create exceptional customer experience, and regarding that, PML has taken the lead in curating various lifestyle experiences. These include the PML Culinary Experience, which offers customers refreshments during their service appointments, as well as hosting collaborations with renowned local restaurants and chefs.
Lawrence Tan, managing director of PML, has said that this is only the beginning for the brand as it strives to innovate and redefine the premium automotive retail experience in Singapore and beyond.
