The harsh cabin environment of a vehicle, along with its irregular shape, narrow space, numerous listening positions and the inherent internal and external noise often meant a compromise in sound quality. Pioneer's dedication to creating true original sound for car audiophiles has resulted in the Pioneer Reference Series (PRS) and Optical Reference Series (ODR) which represent the ultimate in car AV entertainment.
The revolutionary ODR system consists of specially selected parts and state of the art technology combining to create the ideal music space within a vehicle. Pioneer's ODR components utilise an optical digital connection between the CD tuner and amplifier which ensure the most accurate transmission of the audio signal. This allows the sound to remain pure for as long as possible until the signal is passed on to the speakers. With the ODR system, there is no deterioration in sound quality during digital-analogue conversion or vice versa. Additionally the high precision DSP offers total control of the sound stage to further achieve ideal acoustics in the cabin. The end result is beautifully clear and vivid audio, completely free of distortion - the ultimate pure sound.
When paired with the RS-II or Pioneer PRS speaker system, the experience is made complete. The PRS speakers & RSII carry a proud heritage, having won the IASCA (International Auto Sound Challenge Association) award and EMMA competition (Europe) respectively. The speakers' superior response, linearity and sound directivity improve low and mid frequency reproduction while making highs and lows sound smoother and more open.
Car audio perfection has finally arrived with Pioneer's high-end entertainment systems, speakers and components. For those who appreciate the finest and demand the best, Pioneer's new systems will allow them to immerse themselves in pure and natural sound without compromise.
