Polestar is returning to the Goodwood Festival of Speed on 23 June 2022 and will debut a prototype Polestar 5 alongside the new high-performance, limited edition Polestar 2 BST edition 270. Polestar's electric roadster concept and its existing product range will also be present at the festival.
Visitors to the festival will be able to see the prototype Polestar 5 in the First Glance Paddock, that is, when it's not busy completing drives up the hill during the festival. Otherwise, you'll also be able to catch the Polestar Precept, the concept car that inspires the Polestar 5, on the main Polestar stand, together with Polestar's electric roadster concept and the Polestar 2 BST edition 270.
A series released images show the Polestar 5 still heavily clad in camouflage, although you can expect the car to offer shoppers a more coupe-like silhouette when compared against the Polestar 2. The car is also said to be based on a new bonded aluminium chassis, designed to keep the vehicle weight low while offering high levels of body rigidity. The floating instrument cluster and the redesigned steering wheel from the Precept concept also look set to appear in the cabin of the Polestar 5.
The updated Polestar 2 is also set to join the festival at the Electric Avenue, and Polestar will host exclusive test drives adjacent to the main event area at Molecomb, where visitors will have the opportunity to book the car for a drive on a closed route on site.
