The Cayenne Diesel's 3.0-litre V6 engine has been reworked, and given a new turbocharger, for improved response and greater efficiency. The direct injection pressure has also been increased to 2000 bar, and there is also a lighter crankshaft.
The changes has shed 20kg from the Cayenne Diesel, which now weighs 2080kg, and the unit now produces 245bhp, 5bhp more than before. Porsche says that the Cayenne Diesel is now able to go from 0-100km/h in 7.6 seconds, 0.2 second faster than before, while top speed has been increased by 2km/h to 220km/h.
The Cayenne Turbo meanwhile, features a new Powerkit taken from the Panamera performance sedan. This boosts the Cayenne Turbo's power output by 40bhp to 540bhp, while torque has also been increased to 750Nm. This enables the car to go from 0-100km/h in 4.6 seconds, 0.1 second quicker than before, and reach a top speed of 281km/h, an increase of 4km/h.
Additionally, the Cayenne Turbo Porsche Exclusive edition also gets blacked-out bi-xenon headlights with Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS), tinted LED rear lights, quad sports tailpipe look and new trim options.
Finally, the Cayenne S Hybrid also gets a minor upgrade, with the addition of a hybrid manager which allows the SUV to be driven at low speeds on electric power alone even from a cold start. The Cayenne Hybrid also gets the choice of options from Porsche Exclusive, which are also offered for the Panamera Turbo.
