Porsche has announced that for 2024, it has delivered 310,718 cars, a slight decline of 3% as compared to the previous years. However, its customers are also increasingly individualising their vehicles and add-ons to the standard equipment according to their personal wishes.
Additionally, its share of electrified sports cars has increased from 22% to 27%, with almost half of them being purely electric vehicles. Porsche has also announced growth in four out of five regions, with an increase in deliveries in Europe (excluding Germany, up by 8%), Germany (up by 11%), North America (up by 1%), and the Overseas and Emerging Markets (up by 6%). Deliveries in China dropped by 28%, mainly due to the continuing challenging economic situation in that region.
The brand kickstarted 2024 with the world premiere of its all-electric Macan in Singapore, with 18,278 units delivered by the end of the year. Its iconic 911 sports car continued to enjoy popularity, with 50,941 units delivered (up by 2% compared to 2023). Its 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman models recorded 23,670 deliveries (up by 15%), and the Cayenne recorded 102,889 deliveries (up by 18%). The Taycan experienced a decline of 49% in deliveries due to a model change and a slow ramp-up of electric mobility, with deliveries of the Panamera also declining by 13% due to lower demand in the Chinese market.
Looking ahead to 2025, Porsche states that its goal is to "further strengthen our brand globablly and to exploit market potential", with a promise to do this "in line with demand in the individual regions in order to remain true to our principle of value-based sales in the future".
