Porsche demonstrates potential of Cayenne Electric prototype

As part of the fine-tuning of its soon-to-be-launched, second all-electric SUV, Porsche has shared a first taste of its Cayenne Electric prototype in a filming project that took place at the Shelsley Walsh hill climb.
Decked out in camouflage prior to its unveiling, the Cayenne Electric prototype was equipped with the Porsche Active Ride, which will be offered in the SUV in the future. The active chassis keeps the body level at all times, even during dynamic braking, steering and acceleration processes, and ensures a perfect connection to the road through a balanced distribution of wheel loads.
In addition to its hill climb record time of 31.28 seconds at Shelsley Walsh, another number caused a stir at Shelsley Walsh: The first measuring point, 18.3m beyond the starting line, was passed after just 1.94 seconds. Thus far, only single-seater racing cars with slick tyres built specifically for this purpose have managed this feat at the event. Porsche states that its latest achievement gives an idea of the exceptional accelerative performance of the Cayenne Electric prototype, which was fitted with conventional summer tyres.
Porsche is also planning another public appearance in England with the Cayenne Electric prototype: The camouflaged prototype will be on display at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, which runs from 10 to 13 July 2025.
