Porsche offers a 40 bhp "Powerkit" for the 2011 Panamera Turbo

To some, Porsche's long awaited 4-door is downright ugly. To others, it looks (sort of) like a 4-door 911.

But neither camp can argue with the Panamera's driving virtues, and sheer practicality.

And for 2011, Panamera buyers can opt-into Porsche's new Panamera Personalization Program, which will offer a number of custom touches, and performance upgrades™at a steep price.

The 40 bhp kit features two new turbos with titanium aluminium turbines, an engine software upgrade.

Included with the Turbo Powerkit is another option called the Sport Chrono Turbo Package. This increases the torque to 590 lb-ft when the Sport Plus button is pressed.

In November, Porsche Tequipment will offer the Powerkit as a retro-fit for earlier models.

Other "personalized" touches include different front fascias, painted wheels, side skirts, and a rear apron with built-in fins & a diffuser.

These special options are available on all Panameras. Except of course, the Turbo Powerkit™which is only available on the Turbo.
