The GTS is powered by a naturally-aspirated 4.8-liter V8 engine found in the Panamera S and Panamera 4S, but output has been increased to 430bhp and 520Nm of torque, an improvement of 30bhp and 20Nm over the S and 4S. The GTS also comes with Porsche’s Sport Chrono package and 7-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission as standard, and as such, allows the car to rocket from 0-100km/h in 4.3 seconds, and hit a top speed of 286km/h.
For improved handling, Porsche has fitted a lowered air suspension and the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) system on the GTS. The carmaker says that with the suspension set at "Normal," the GTS sits an 10mm lower than any other Panamera model.
Other highlights include the Porsche Sound Symposer, which according to the company, "picks up the intake vibrations between the throttle valve and the air filter, transmitting them as engine sound via a membrane into the A-pillar".
Cosmetically, the Panamera GTS gains a new front bumper with larger air intake openings and a standard high-gloss black exterior package comprised of side window trim, decorative trim on the rear lid, the headlight washer unit cover, the rear diffuser and the side air outlet panels. There are also black front fascia grills, black side skirts, black lower rear fascia, and the sport exhaust system’s matte black tailpipes.
The interior of the GTS is upgraded with leather and Alcantara trimmed sports seats in a choice of five colours, while Alcantara is also used on the door panels, console armrest, as well as the roof liner and the steering wheel. There are also two bespoke optional interior packages for the Panamera GTS that combine a black interior with decorative stitching on the seats, foot mats, dashboard, door panels, centre console armrest and doors, in Carmine Red or GT silver.

The Panamera GTS is based on the Panamera 4S four-wheel-drive model, and slots in between the Panamera 4S and the Panamera Turbo in Porsche’s performance sedan range. The Panamera GTS gets more power, improved brakes and a tune chassis over the 4S model, as well as a number of styling enhancements.
