Porsche Panamera sets new Nurburgring record

Porsche has reportedly set a new lap record for the fastest four door sedan around the Nurburgring with their Panamera, taking the mantle off the Cadillac CTS-V, who set the mark almost a year ago.

The 500bhp Panamera Turbo went round the legendary Nordschleife in 7 minutes and 56 seconds, just three seconds faster than the Cadillac's time of 7 minutes 59 seconds.

Porsche hasn't confirmed the time reported by Sport Auto, nor has it released its own times for the car, so it will remain to be seen if this is the final word.
