Nearly exactly a year after the facelifted Porsche Cayenne was revealed, the premium SUV is now getting its new GTS variants.
Available both as an SUV coupe and a traditional SUV, the new variant makes use of a twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8, which delivers a total of 493bhp (the previous iteration of the car produced a total of 453bhp). Maximum torque from the model, meanwhile, is now 660Nm, 40Nm more than before.
The 4.0-litre V8 in the Porsche Cayenne GTS and Porsche Cayenne GTS Coupe now puts out a total of 493bhp alongside a peak torque of 660Nm
Paired to a revised eight-speed Tiptronic S transmission that is said to deliver shorter response and shift times in the car's 'Sport' and 'Sport Plus' modes, the Porsche Cayenne GTS can now sprint to 100km/h in 4.4 seconds, and push on to a top speed of 275km/h.
And offering control over this power in the GTS is a lowered ride height of 10mm, while adaptive air suspension comes as standard in this variant, alongside Porsche Active Suspension Management and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus. The Porsche Cayenne GTS also gets the front axle pivot bearings from the Cayenne Turbo GT, which increase the negative camber of the wheels by 0.58 degrees in comparison to other Cayenne models for increased agility.
The model is differentiated from other Cayenne models by its black badging and 21-inch RS Spyder-design wheels finished in anthracite grey
On the outside, you'll be able to identify the GTS from other variants of the Cayenne thanks to its black badging on its sides and rear, as well as its use of a different front, which gets larger air intakes as well as tinted head lights. The car also gets its side skirts, front inlays, side window trim and wheel arch extensions all finished in high-gloss black.
Its tailpipes, however, are now finished in a dark bronze, while its 21-inch RS Spyder-design wheels are finished in anthracite grey and sit ahead of red brake callipers.
Standard for the Porsche Cayenne GTS is an adaptive extending rear spoiler, although customers may opt for a Sports exhaust system, which gets centrally positioned tailpipes also finished in dark bronze. Also available for the performance SUV is a lightweight roof as well as a carbon rear diffuser.
Both the Porsche Cayenne GTS and Porsche Cayenne GTS Coupe are now available to order in Europe, and deliveries of both cars are expected to begin in mid-2024.
