Limited to just 1,250 units in the world, the 911 Sport Classic is a modern interpretation that recalls the original 911 and the 911 Carrera RS 2.7.
Porsche Singapore invited the media to the Mandala Club, located at Bukit Pasoh Road, for the latest iteration of the Curvistan exhibition featuring the all new Porsche 911 Sport Classic on centre stage. The Curvistan exhibition's 'On Roads' theme celebrates taking roads less travelled, and savouring the joy of the journey. This is also the first time that the limited-production 911 featuring plenty of unique touches is shown in Singapore.

Limited to just 1,250 units, the Porsche 911 Sport Classic is a very special car. It pays tribute to iconic past Porsche models including the original 911 and the 911 Carrera RS 2.7 - the dramatic and distinctive ducktail of the latter has been reprised on the Sport Classic.

Classy gold emblems adorn the striking rear-end of the 911 Sport Classic
Being the second car in a series of four Heritage Design models, the Sport Classic features a slew of heritage-inspired touches.

These include a heritage Porsche crest that is nearly identical to the version from 1963, 'PORSCHE' lettering finished in real gold, Exclusive Manufaktur badges on the front quarter panels, and a Porsche Heritage badge on the intake grille at the rear.

Based on the current 911 Turbo S, the Sport Classic features the same wide rear-end. However, you would notice the lack of the Turbo S' distinctive side intakes - yet another detail that sets the Sport Classic apart from the other 911s in Porsche's lineup.

The iconic vents on the wide hips of the 911 Turbo S were smoothened off to create the elegant, smooth rear quarters on the Sport Classic
Plenty of effort has been expended to achieve the smooth look as significant engineering work is required to eliminate the intakes.

The Sport Classic has been peppered with plenty of unique design elements on its exterior.

Up front, there is a fixed spoiler-lip and LED-Matrix Design head lights in black.

The Carbon Fibre Reinforced Plastic (CFRP) hood dips in the center to complement the double-bubble roof made of the same material - a design continuance of the first Porsche 911 (997) Sport Classic.

These Fuchs-inspired rims with centre-lock hubs completes the classic theme here
The rims that sit on the four extremities of the Sport Classic are yet another bespoke design, these are a modern interpretation of the iconic Fuchs rims with centre-lock hubs, completing the classic theme.

The Sport Grey Metallic paint and painted contrasting stripes in light Sport Grey not only distinctively sets the Sport Classic apart from other 911 models, but is also inspired by Fashion Grey, a colour first applied to the Porsche 356.

Alongside this new colour that was specially created for the Sport Classic, owners can also specify it in a few other equally unique colour choices.

From the Pepita fabric to the materials and design cues, everything inside harks back to the 60s
A 'PORSCHE' script and a white lollipop that customers can specify with digits between 1 and 99 livens up the sides of the Sport Classic, further distinguishing it as something special.

The special treatment continues inside the Sport Classic with materials and design cues that call back the 1960s and early 1970s.

Pepita, the fabric featuring black and white diamond patterns with slanting stripes first found in 1965 in the original 911 model, finds its way back onto the Sport Classic's seat centres and door panels to evoke a truly classic feel.

The analog tachometer is finished in the same style as the Porsche 356
The analog tachometer and the Sport Chrono clock in the dashboard are also retro-styled, featuring a white needle and scale markings alongside green numbers and accents, reminiscent of the Porsche 356's instrument cluster.

On the mechanical side of things, the Sport Classic is available exclusively with a seven-speed manual that sends 542bhp, generated by a reworked version of the 3.7-litre twin-turbo flat six engine that is found in the 911 Turbo S, to the rear wheels.

This combination makes the Sport Classic the most powerful 911 with a manual transmission currently available, allowing it to complete the century sprint in merely 4.1 seconds and reach a top sped of 315km/h.

A dramatic ducktail inspired by the 911 Carrera RS 2.7 completes the classy yet aggressive design
Like the 911 Turbo S that it is based on, the Sport Classic gets the same high performance equipment.

It includes the Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes, Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control, Rear Axle Steering, Sport Chrono Package, Porsche Active Suspension Management and a specially modified Sport Exhaust system as standard.

Being something that's so unique and feature-packed, there's no wonder that all 1,250 units of the new Porsche 911 Sport Classic have all been sold.
