Porsche Taycan and Cayenne to get "Black Edition"

Porsche has announced that it will be offering a special series of "Black Edition" Taycan and Cayenne models enhanced with black accents. The Taycan Black Edition is available as a sports sedan and as the Sport Turismo, while the Cayenne Black Edition is available in classic SUV form or as an elegant SUV coupe.

Porsche Singapore has also announced that the pricing and availability for these special-edition models will be revealed at a later date.

High-gloss black exterior mirrors in combination with other exterior paint finishes are available exclusively on the Black Edition models

Both Black Edition models sport black accents on their exterior and interior. On the Taycan, the Sport Design package, side window trims, and model designation at the rear are finished in high-gloss black. The special-edition car also comes with exclusive high-gloss black exterior mirrors in combination with other exterior paint finishes, while sporting a rear light strip with an illuminated black Porsche logo. The black interior accent package, the storage package, and black-brushed illuminated aluminium door sill guards are also included.

Interestingly, Porsche has stated that the larger Performance Battery Plus is also standard on the Taycan Black Edition models. This is otherwise available as an option for the Taycan, Taycan 4, and Taycan 4S. Its 105kWh capacity benefits both the car's performance and its driving range, which can rise up a WLTP-rated 668km.

On the other hand, Black Edition Cayenne models are equipped with the Sport Design package, with the exterior package, exterior mirrors, Porsche logo, as well as the model designation at the rear all finished in high-gloss black.

While it may be called the Black Edition, black isn't compulsory as the base colour: When configuring these special-edition models, all exterior paints in the Shades category can be selected at no extra charge.

For the Taycan, these include Jet Black Metallic, Volcano Grey Metallic, Dolomite Silver Metallic, and Ice Grey Metallic. The corresponding colour palette for the Cayenne includes Quartzite Grey Metallic, Vanadium Grey Metallic, Dolomite Silver Metallic, and Carrara White Metallic. There are also options for the interior, including leather in Slate Grey or a two-tone design.

The extended Black Edition package exclusively includes "Black Edition" lettering on the front doors, as well as illuminated door sill guards and a vehicle key set with a case that also features matching lettering.

Also, with the help of the Sonderwunsch programme, numerous interior components can be personalised. This includes the vehicle keys and case, the reversible luggage compartment mat, the floor mats, the vehicle documentation folder, the lid of the storage compartment in the centre console, and the door sill guards.
