Porsche to unveil the Cayenne S Hybrid at the New York Motor Show

The hybrid Cayenne will be powered by a supercharged 3.0-litre V6 engine that produces 333bhp, which is combined with a 47bhp electric motor, for a total power output of 380bhp. The engine and motor are mated to a decoupling clutch, with the car able to choosing intelligently between both driving modes.
The Cayenne S Hybrid is also able to travel in fully-electric mode up to a speed of 60km/h, with the electric motor providing a power burst during hard acceleration. Additional reductions in weight will also lead to better fuel economy and reduced emissions. The Cayenne S Hybrid is expected to go on sale towards the end of the year.
