Production starts for new Mazda CX-50 in the U.S.A

Mazda has begun series production of the new CX-50 at its new plant in Huntsville, Alabama U.S.A.
The first-ever CX-50 comes equipped as standard in the U.S.A Mazda's latest i-Activ All-Wheel Drive technology and new Mazda Intelligent Drive Select, or Mi-Drive. The two technologies help the SUV drive naturally in a wide variety of conditions, such as in exciting off-road terrain or when providing reliable towing capabilities.
It is being launched in the U.S.A with either a Skyactiv-G 2.5-litre naturally aspirated engine or the Skyactiv-G 2.5-litre turbocharged engine, both paired with a responsive six-speed automatic transmission. Mazda states that the model is set to receive electrified powertrains alongside a traditional hybrid model in the coming years, more information of which will be revealed at a later date.
