Range Rover Velar touches down in Singapore

The new Range Rover Velar has been unveiled in Singapore at an event held at the Land Rover showroom today, and the latest addition to the Range Rover family promises to deliver a new dimension of glamour, modernity and elegance to the lineup.

Created from a clean sheet using Jaguar Land Rover's Lightweight Aluminium Architecture, the Velar's design is beautifully balanced, from its powerful proportions to its continuous waist line through to the taut tapered lines of the rear. The generous wheelbase contributes significantly to its elegance while helping to provide a spacious interior.
Advanced technology is pivotal to the Velar's contemporary design, with the full LED head lights being the most slender ever to appear on a Land Rover vehicle. The flush deployable door handles emphasise the Velar's reductive, sculptured form, and contribute to the low drag coefficient of only 0.32, making it the most aerodynamically-efficient Land Rover ever produced.
The new Touch Pro Duo infotainment system marks the centrepiece of the Velar's interior. Touch Pro Duo features two 10-inch high-definition touchscreens that are seamlessly integrated, and these slim and intuitive displays work in harmony with the interior cabin's architecture. This is equalled by the Velar's practicality, with a luggage compartment volume of an impressive 673 litres.
The Velar comes with two engine variants, including a new, highly-advanced 2.0-litre four-cylinder Ingenium petrol engine that delivers 250bhp and 365Nm of torque, enabling it to accelerate from 0-100km/h in just 6.7 seconds. It is also available with a 3.0-litre supercharged V6 petrol engine that produces 380bhp and 450Nm of torque, and combines exhilarating performance with a unique soundtrack, being able to go from 0-100km/h in only 5.7 seconds.
For the first model year only, the Velar will also be offered in exclusive First Edition trim, which features a wealth of extra features as standard. These include perforated Windsor leather seats in Light Oyster or Ebony, a 1,600W Meridian Signature Sound System, Matrix-Laser LED head lights, and 22-inch split-spoke wheels with diamond-turned finish.
