Renault has unveiled the facelifted Megane, offering a revamped and modernised interior, as well as new plug-in hybrid technology.

From the flank, the car now features door-handle lighting, while new 16 and 18-inch wheels are also available.
On the interior, a new 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster is available, and couples with a new 9.3-inch multimedia system screen. The vertical multimedia tablet fits perfectly into the dashboard and gives the passenger compartment a modern look. The Renault EasyLink connected multimedia system offers the entire range of multimedia, navigation and infotainment services, as well as access to Renault's Multi-Sense driving mode selector's settings.
The Megane will be offered with a 1.3-litre TCe petrol engine, available in 113bhp, 138bhp and 158bhp versions, as well as a new 99bhp eco version in order to address all needs. The 99bhp and 113bhp versions are exclusively paired with a six-speed manual transmission.
Meanhwile, the 138bhp engine offers the choice between a six-speed manual transmission and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, whereas the 158bhp engine comes paired to only the dual-clutch seven-speed automatic transmission. At the end of the year, the Megane will also feature a 1.0-litre TCe engine in a highly efficient 118bhp version with a manual transmission, optimised to reduce consumption and CO2 emissions.
The New Megane also now comes with a plug-in hybrid powertrain - a first for Renault in this segment. The plug-in hybrid pairs a four-cylinder 1.6-litre petrol engine with two electric motors and an innovative multi-mode clutch-less gearbox transmission. A 9.8kWh, 400V battery means that the Megane E-tech can run on full electric mode for 50km up to a top speed of 135km/h on the Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure mixed cycle.
Customers will also be able to opt for the optional Highway and Traffic Jam Companion, a Level 2 autonomous system that ensures added comfort and peace of mind while driving.
