Looking to kick-start your 2024 with a bit of adventure? Mercedes-AMG might just have what you need.
The firm has opened registrations for the AMG Experience on Ice programme, designed to give attendees the opportunity to improve their driving skills with the AMG models on the frozen Lake Galtisjaure near Arjeplog, Sweden.
The lake is said to offer an ice sheet more than 60cm thick, forming the perfect location for developing a feel for driving characteristics, braking behaviour and steering precision on icy surfaces.
Participants will be able to experience the dynamics and power of current Mercedes-AMG models including the A45, the new C63 S E Performance plug-in hybrid, the SL63 (catch our review of the SL55 here), as well as the new AMG GT Coupe, among others. They will also learn how to safely control powerful vehicles, all under professional guidance, and will delve deep into their technology as part of the programme. A variety of courses within the programme are available, designed to cater to all experience levels from beginners to advanced drivers.
The events of the AMG Experience on Ice programme include overnight stays in an exclusive four-star hotel with a sauna and bar, while a professional photographer will also hand to capture the best memories.
And for those that want their adventure a little more off the beaten path, Mercedes-Benz is also offering a G-Class Winter Expedition that will allow participants to discover Sweden from the iconic off-road vehicle and off the beaten tourist track. The G-Class Winter Expedition also comes with an overnight stay in the Icehotel and a snowmobile tour in the dark.
Those interested can register for the AMG Experience on Ice programme through the AMG Experience website here, or register for the G-Class Winter Expedition here.
