Retro-futuristic ORA 07 coupe showcased at 2024 Motor Show

Less than a year after the Good Cat was launched in Singapore, ORA has brought in a teaser of what fans of its all-electric whimsy can look forward to here next.
And this time, it's taking the form not of a cutesy compact hatchback, but a sleek four-door coupe.
You might know this as the Lightning Cat internationally, but ORA's impending second entrant into our market has been codenamed the 07 for now, landing at the 2024 Singapore Motor Show on Thursday morning (11 January 2024) for an exclusive preview.
The 'retro-futuristic' design cues are all there still; as with the Good Cat, don't be surprised if you're reminded again of Porsche. Nonetheless, this is clearly positioned a good step above in terms of size.
The ORA 07 may be just 1,500mm tall, but is 4,871mm long and 1,862mm wide, giving it quite a fair bit o physical presence - especially when paired to the curved lines all over its body. As a bespoke electric vehicle, the 07's long wheelbase of 2,870mm promises good legroom for rear passengers, too (although we suspect headroom may be compromised by its roofline).
We've lauded ORA's interior craft with the Good Cat's blend of classic and modern touches - and this impression holds even more with the 07. In place of toggle switches, however, are a slanted floating centre console with swivel dials, as well as a trio of circular instrument clusters for the driver.
Still, the dashboard feels suitably techy thanks to a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Other highlights include a head-up display, 11-speaker sound system, and a kick-activated electronic tailgate.
Furthermore, the unit of the 07 you'll find at Suntec Convention Centre is generously equipped - providing a glimpse of the potential creature comforts buyers can enjoy when the car officially launches. The front sports seats, for example, are electrically adjustable (six-way for the driver; four-way for the passenger), and are equipped with massage, heating and ventilation functions.
As for safety, the 07 offers all of the latest ADAS features, front and rear parking sensors, and a 360-degree view monitor.
The Good Cat's larger sibling should also take it a few notches higher in performance and range with the possibility of a larger battery and a second motor.
Cycle & Carriage, which takes charge of the ORA brand here, says that final specifications for Singapore-bound units will only be confirmed when the car officially reaches us. Still, fret not about waiting (too) long; Sgcarmart understands that a Q3 launch has been targeted.
