It is still winter in Europe, but a hypercar - even when standing still - certainly has the ability to raise ambient temperatures, especially when there's more than one in a single location.
That's exactly what Rimac when it brought not one, but three Nevera models to The I.C.E. event that took place last weekend against the backdrop of the Frozen Lake St Moritz in Switzerland.
Rimac says its static display "represents the future of automotive performance", as historic Barchettas, Open Wheel racers, and Racing Legends competed for the 'Best In Show' award on the Lake's frozen surface.
The display, which was presented by Rimac Zurich, included the recently unveiled Nevera R, Nevera Time Attack, and the original Nevera. The Nevera R delivers 2,107hp and features a handling-focussed set-up, along with enhanced aerodynamics that help it produce 15% more downforce. The R also possesses a performance-oriented battery system.
The Nevera R on show is finished in Nebula Green, showcasing its visual and technical evolution. When unleashed, Rimac says it can rocket from a standstill to 300km/h in 8.66 seconds.
The Nevera Time Attack, on the other hand, is finished in Squadron Black Paintwork with Lightning Green accents, paying homage to Rimac's record-breaking heritage. Only 12 of these models have been produced, making its appearance at the event a rare one indeed.
Its moniker certainly suits its achievements, as the Nevera Time Attack set new acceleration records, along with new benchmarks at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, and the fearsome Nurburgring.
The 'standard' Nevera, the foundation model and world's first electric hypercar, rounded out Rimac's display at the event. It is no slouch either, with over 20 performance records to its name thanks to the 1,914hp powertrain and advanced torque vectoring system.
