Salon Prive to spin new twist to old tales with new exhibition

A new and exciting addition to this year's edition of Salon Prive, the Concours of the Future exhibition sees a group of talented undergraduates from the Royal College of Art (RCA) Vehicle Design programme tasked to revisit some historic Concours-winning cars and redesign these icons for the modern world, and beyond.
The overall winner will be invited to Milan for a behind the scenes tour and design master-class with Andrea Zagato at the Zagato Design StudioStevens will be supported on the judging panel by Dale Harrow, Head of the RCA Vehicle Design programme, Giles Taylor, Director of Design, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Ltd, Peter Schreyer, Chief Design Officer, Hyundai and Kia Motors, as well as Peter Horbury Vice President of Design, Geely.
"The RCA is very proud to be working with Salon Prive on this fascinating new project. Some of the results are astounding, and I'm delighted to be supporting the Concours of the Future design exhibition with some of the most esteemed designers from around the world. Our young RCA designers are presenting their continuing fascination with the romance of the motorcar to their prospective future employers, and what an illustrious panel it is," commented Peter Stevens.
The top three designers from the 'Concours of the Future' design exhibition will be presented with trophies designed and manufactured by Bridge of Weir Leather Company and a magnum of Pommery champagne. With four entries already previewed, the complete design collection will be revealed at Salon Prive which runs from 4th to 6th September, Syon Park, London.

This fascinating new work will be revealed for the first time on 4th September, with judging of the 11 new designs taking place the following day, chaired by leading automotive designer and RCA visiting professor, Peter Stevens.
