Singapore Airlines' F1 packages draw healthy response

Back in April, the new title sponsor of the Formula One Singapore Grand Prix - Singapore Airlines (SIA) - and race promoter Singapore GP introduced flight and accommodation packages for the forthcoming 2014 edition of the Singapore Grand Prix.

With just three weeks before the high octane racing action returns to our island, The Business Times has reported that the demand for the 'fly-race-and-stay' packages are met with positive response, and the state carrier anticipates more sales in the coming weeks. Demand has been coming from markets such as Australia and Europe.
In addition, SIA has also introduced special offers for its PPS Club and KrisFlyer members keen on taking up race tickets, throwing in perks such as KrisFlyer miles and F1 merchandise.
On Thursday, SIA unveiled the winner's trophy, which has been custom designed by advertising agency TBWA and hand-crafted for the 2014 Singapore Grand Prix by local jewellery brand RISIS. The trophy, tipping the scales at 5kg, is plated in 24-carat gold with a design inspired by the SIA logo, reported The Business Times.
In addition, Singapore GP Executive Director, Michael Roche, told The Business Times the partnership between SIA and Singapore GP has also enabled more targeted marketing as the race promoter pushes out marketing activities in cities where the airline still has capacity available for the race period.
