Skoda brings the Kushaq and Slavia to Vietnam
31 Mar 2025|125 views
Skoda and regional partner Thanh Cong Group have officially opened a new production plant in Vietnam for the assembly of the Kushaq and Slavia models, with series production of the Kushaq kicking off on 26 March 2025 and the first locally assembled Slavia sedans to roll off the line from May 2025 onwards.
Both models will be assembled from completely knocked-down (CKD) kits prepared at Skoda's logistics centre in India, with the plant's location near one of Vietnam's largest and most modern ports ensuring an efficient supply chain.
To guarantee product quality, all locally assembled Skoda models were tested under real-world conditions ahead of series production. For example, the Kushaq has covered more than 330,000km on diverse Vietnamese roads, as well as extensive climate testing with high humidity.
To meet regional needs, the Kushaq SUV and Slavia sedan will feature left-hand drive and are equipped with advanced safety and comfort features, including adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, and synthetic leather upholstery.
Ever since Skoda's entry into the Vietnamese market in September 2023, more than 15 sales outlets have been opened, including a new showroom concept in Hanoi christened as the Experience Centre. Skoda plans to expand this network to 32 dealerships by the end of 2025.
