Skoda releases updates for the Elroq and Enyaq in Europe

Skoda has announced that for the upcoming model year in Europe, its Elroq and Enyaq models will be debuting an upgraded Android-based infotainment system, bringing a new look and feel, a redesigned home screen, grid layout, favourites, and search function, along with enhanced personalisation options.
A new in-car app store will make additional applications available directly via the infotainment system, including Skoda apps and selected third-party apps such as Spotify and YouTube, along with a number of apps from categories such as audio and video streaming, casual gaming, news, weather, and more.
And for the first time, Skoda vehicles will also feature a digital key. Users can lock, unlock, and start the vehicle with their smartphone, as well as share access with others (such as family members) via the built-in wallet app of either an iPhone or a compatible Android device.
Powerpass - Skoda's own charging service - is now integrated directly into the navigation system, showing charging-station ratings and prices and enabling charging authorisation straight from the navigation screen. As of now, close to a million public charging points across 28 European countries are accessible via Powerpass.
The MySkoda app also now provides driving data to complement the charging overview and history. In addition, Laura - the digital companion - also supports EV route planning with the necessary charging stopovers.
Both models will also be equipped with Travel Assist 3.0, which features extensively updated new radars and sensors, new corner radars in the front and rear bumpers, new interior cameras to increase visibility and awareness, and exterior lighting management for low-light daytime conditions.
These updates aren't just limited to tech, as the new changes to both the Elroq and Enyaq include a 21-litre frunk under the bonnet, a ventilated Phone Box for wireless charging, and the use of LFP battery technology, which offers a long cycle lifespan.
