Skoda Octavia RS gets dramatic new Dragon Skin paint option

Fans of the sublime Skoda Octavia RS in the U.K. are in luck.
Skoda U.K. has announced the introduction of a brand new 'Dragon Skin' paint colour, set to be offered as a cost-option for buyers of the Skoda Octavia RS and Octavia RS Combi (dubbed the Octavia vRS and Octavia vRS Combi in the territory).
The news comes as the Czech brand celebrates its landmark 30th anniversary of the Octavia nameplate in the U.K., which continues to be the "backbone of the range". Orders open from 4 March 2026, with the special paintcoat to be priced at around $1450 (or £855).
The unveiling of the Octavia RS's, ahem, new skin follows in the wake of an online poll conducted by Skoda U.K. with its fans across the brand's social media platforms. Interestingly, this isn't the first time that it's turned directly to dictate the decisions of its paint shop. Both the Waterworld Green and Space Violet paintcoats - also offered as options in the U.K. - also arose out of a public vote in 2025, edging out Hot Chilli Red and Plum Blue in the process.
But it's not just U.K. drivers of the hotted up Octavia RS that will get to enjoy Dragon Skin on their cars in time to come.
Alongside Waterworld Green, Space Violet and Royal Green, Skoda has also announced that Dragon Skin will be introduced as a paint option on a limited-run of 130 Octavia SportLine models later in 2026.
Skoda believes that the Dragon Skin coat reinforces the Octavia RS's "long-standing blend of everyday usability, strong performance and distinctive styling, now with even greater opportunity for owners to stand out on the road".
