Skoda launches the new Fabia vRS at Geneva

The new vRS models will have sporty design features such as new bumpers, a contrasting colour scheme, red brake callipers, and a rear diffuser. The interior has also been given a sporty makeover, with height-adjustable sports seats, a sports steering wheel with paddle shifters, and stainless steel pedals being included.

Under the bonnet, the Fabia vRS will be powered by a twin-charged 1.4-litre four-cylinder engine with 178bhp. The engine is mated with a seven-speed DSG transmission, and allows the Fabia vRS to go from 0-100km/h in 7.3 seconds, and on to a top speed of 225km/h, or 227km/h for the Combi estate model.

Skoda has also given the chassis a tuning, with a sports-tuned suspension and an electronic XDS differential which "brakes the inside front wheel to increase the torque on the outside front wheel" for improved cornering agility.
