This is the fascinating Cargo variant of the Skoda Enyaq

Ever imagined the Enyaq as an electric van (of sorts)? Neither have we, but Skoda U.K. is now producing something like that exactly, with this variant for commercial use.
Enter: The Skoda Enyaq Cargo.
Based off the facelifted Enyaq 85 and 85x models in the U.K., the Enyaq Cargo sees its second row of seats stripped away and thrown out, with a spacious load area constructed out of high-strength, low-weight plastic materials (to meet stringent safety standards) standing in their place instead.
As you would have in a delivery van, there's even a lightweight bulk head that helps separate the cabin from the cargo space. Skoda hasn't revealed specific load volume figures, but it's worth remembering that the standard Enyaq (in SUV guise) has a boot capacity of up to 1,710-litres with its second row folded flat.

As to how exactly the Enyaq Cargo came about, Skoda U.K. has revealed that the vehicle was initially birthed out of a project commissioned by the nation's National Grid Energy Distribution (NGED) in 2024. (The NGED has since taken delivery of 70 Enyaq Cargos.) The brand is now extending orders of the model to all of its fleet customers through its Skoda retail network.
The conversion of the Enyaq from a comfy SUV into a rugged commercial vehicle saw Skoda tapping on U.K.-based commercial vehicle-converter, Strongs, for help. Both parties worked together on the vehicle's final specification to ensure full compliance with the U.K.'s light commercial vehicle (LCV) regulations.
While this isn't the first time a passenger Skoda model has been adapted for commercial use, the Enyaq Cargo does mark the first battery-electric vehicle (BEV) model from the brand to undergo the transformation.
With special regard to the dual-motor Enyaq 85x it is based on, the converted electric LCV is said to be the "perfect model to cater of a range of business needs" thanks to its long driving range, rapid DC charging capabilities, and all-wheel drive.
