Skoda releases the Fabia and Roomster Greenline

Greenline is Skoda's program to produce more efficient and environmentally-friendly cars, similar to parent group Volkswagen's BlueMotion. The latest addition to the Skoda Greenline range is the recently facelifted Fabia and Roomster.

The biggest change to the Greenline models is the addition of the Volkswagen Group's new 1.2-litre three-cylinder supercharged diesel engine that produces 75bhp. The new unit is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox that is the same as the standard models.

The Fabia and Roomster Greenline models also features a whole host of environmentally-friendly features, such as stop-start technology, a new energy recuperation system that utilizes the vehicle's kinetic energy for battery recharging, a lowered and aerodynamically-covered chassis, low rolling resistance tires and a gear recommendation light on the dashboard.
