Skoda returns to support the Tour de France

Skoda is marking 20 years of supporting the Tour de France this year as it continues to support the race for its 110^th iteration at the Basque city of Bilbao come 1 July 2023.

The race will span across 21 stages, taking participants over all five French mountain ranges. Skoda states that as part of the celebrations to mark the 20^th anniversary of partnership with the historic race, it has planned a few surprises for the racers and spectators at the final stage, which will take place on the Champs Elysees in Paris come 23 July 2023.

This year, Skoda is providing the organisers with a total of 209 support vehicles for the race, 207 of which are either hybrid or all-electric vehicles. The event's Race Director will continue to head the peloton in the Red Car - a specially modified all-electric Enyaq Sportline iV (read our first drive of the Skoda Enyaq here) that comes complete with six aerials, a flag holder, a special horn, advertising banners, five radio circuits and a sunroof.

VIP guests will also be able to enjoy the action on the track in a Superb L&K. Skoda will also be once again sponsoring the Green Jersey, awarded to the race's top sprinter, while trophies designed by Skoda will be presented to the overall and points classification winners.
