Skoda has revealed the first interior image of its new Vision 7S concept. This new concept car is said to be the first to showcase Skoda's new design language, which it states will deliver spaciousness and also make use of durable and sustainable materials, all packaged with an aerodynamic, efficient shape.
To this effect, the first teaser image reveals that the Vision 7S will get a wide, horizontal dashboard that extends to the doors for an enhanced sense of space. The concept is also set to get what Skoda states is an optimally positioned hand rest, designed to make use of the touchscreen and haptic buttons easy. Ambient lighting will also highlight various areas of the interior, including charging status, and provides appropriate lighting when getting in and out of the car.
Curiously, the concept will also offer an integrated child seat is located in the centre of the car - the safest place in a vehicle. The backrests of the front seats are fitted with holders for multimedia devices for passengers in the second and third rows. These also have backpacks integrated into them.
The Skoda Vision 7S concept is said to also come with a 'Relax mode' that can be activated when charging or stopping for a rest. Activating this mode will see the steering wheel and instrument cluster slide forward and the first and second row seats move back, offering passengers maximum space and comfort.
