SMRT Night Rider services to end earlier from 30th April

SMRT has announced changes to its Night Rider services. All seven routes will end more than two hours earlier from 30th April, and will only run one way from the city.
Services NR1, NR2, NR3, NR5, NR6, NR7 and NR8 will operate from 11:30pm to 2:00am on Fridays, Saturdays and eve of public holidays - instead of 4:30am. They will also run in one direction from the city towards residential areas, instead of looping between estates and the city.
Accounting for the change, a spokesperson explained that ridership for Night Rider has been declining steadily by more than 50 percent since February 2008.
