The Singapore Motor Tyre Dealers Association (SMTDA) has successfully concluded its Gala Dinner 2026, bringing together members, industry leaders, partners, and distinguished guests to celebrate the Lunar New Year.
During the evening, SMTDA highlighted several key developments. The Association shared its relocation in 2025 to a new ground-floor premises that provides improved accessibility and capacity for larger industry events, with strong participation already seen during the Annual Mooncake Festival held at the new venue.
SMTDA also reaffirmed its commitment to professional development through initiatives such as the Battery Technical Training and Sharing Session conducted in 2025, as well as a Tyre Training and Sharing Session held at the Gala venue with support from Pirelli.
A new initiative, the "Dinner and Deal" Programme, was introduced in collaboration with selected distributors, offering exclusive business deals to members during the Gala Dinner to create tangible value and strengthen commercial partnerships.
The Association also launched the "We've Checked Your Tyre" road safety campaign, where reminder cards will be placed on vehicles with worn tyres to raise awareness among motorists and reinforce the message: "Your Journey Is Only As Safe As Your Tyre."
In addition, SMTDA announced its inaugural Education Assistance Grant, inspired by the Association's immigrant forefathers who believed strongly in the importance of education. The initiative aims to support deserving beneficiaries and ease financial burdens while encouraging academic aspirations.
