Aston Martin has revealed its newest flagship convertible, the Vanquish Volante, which marks the marque's fastest and most powerful open top series production model to date.
Powered by the brand's new 5.2-litre V12 engine delivering 824bhp and 1,000Nm of torque, it has a top speed of 344km/h. In GT mode, the Vanquish Volante is configured to "breathe with the road", whilst its Sport and Sport+ modes offer progressively more response and tighter body control.
Working together with its tyre partner Pirelli, a new Pirelli P ZERO tyre has been developed (with a summer and winter variant) specifically for both the Vanquish Coupe and Volante.
The Vanquish Volante retains its contemporary elegance from the Coupe, with signature details from the Formula One-inspired thermos louvres in its bonnet aiding in cooling. Its 80mm wheelbase extension draws attention to its front-engine, cab-rearward aesthetic, while its kicked up Kamm Tail at the rear sits above its instantly recognisable 'Shield'. Its lightweight K-fold roof can be opened or closed via an elegant metal switch on the centre console or remotely from the key fob within a two-metre radius of the car.
Matrix LED head lights showcase the new light signature with integrated Daytime Running Lights, with intricate details such as the Aston Martin wordmark etched on the headlamp internals.
Inside, the Vanquish Volante incorporates the bespoke interior layout introduced on the Vanquish Coupe, with the lowered centre console providing the feeling of greater cabin width. It is also equipped with Aston Martin's next-generation infotainment system showcasing a digital 10.25-inch driver display and a 10.25-inch Pure Black touchscreen system with full online connectivity allows for single and multi-finger gesture control.
The Vanquish Volante will be fitted with a Sports Plus Seat as standard, with an optional carbon fibre Performance Seat. Its sculpted rear cross brace separates the purpose made storage areas reserved for saddle leather luggage sets (available as an accessory).
As the marque's flagship model, it offers a plethora of exterior and interior design combinations that can be tailored to the customer’s bespoke requirements.
