Sold out: Lamborghini Aventador Roadster 's pre-orders filled through mid 2014

The Lamborghini Aventador Roadster has proven to be an immense success for the Italian automaker. Having only been introduced less than three months ago, the model has chalked up over a year in pre orders.

According to Auto Motor und Sport, the company's drop top has been a huge hit with customers and order books are full up until the mid of 2014. Anyone who orders the car now will either have to face a long wait past mid 2014 or pay an extra premium to lay hands on the model.

The Aventador Roadster is powered by a 6.5-litre V12 engine that develops 700bhp and 690Nm of torque. 0-100km/h acceleration is completed within a lightning quick 3.0 seconds, with a top speed of 350km/h.
