Spy shots are all over the net showing the new hot hatch by Mercedes-Benz

The people at AMG are working hard to develop a soup-up variant of the newly revealed A-Class. To be christened either as the A25 AMG or A45 AMG, the sizzling hot-hatch is likely to make its world premiere at the Paris Motor Show at the end of September.
A heavily reworked turbocharged 2.0-litre inline-four, which normally puts out 208hp will deliver power figures ranging from 320hp to as much as 350hp. It will also be fitted with a new all-wheel drive (AWD) system and a revised chassis with bespoke suspension, steering and braking systems as well as wider performance tires.
AWD systems have usually been reserved for larger models. The added weight is a disadvantage to the driving dynamics, but things are about to change according to AMG boss Ola Källenius, as the upcoming A-Class AMG will feature AWD when it finally reaches the market in 2013. Additionally, Kallenius used the opportunity to confirm the expected news that the B-class range which rides on the same platform as the A-Class won't be getting an AMG-infused version.
The prototype seen in the spy pictures is not wearing the final production kit. The AMG variant will offer a more dynamic look through new front and rear bumpers, chunkier side skirts and a larger rear wing. The new AMG will compete against rival hot hatches like the Audi RS3 Sportback and the upcoming BMW M135i hatchback.
