STA inspection centre at Jalan Boon Lay - Hassle-free convenience to motorists

ST Kinetics' vehicle inspection subsidiary, STA Inspection Pte Ltd, opened a new state-of-the-art inspection centre providing hassle-free services to time-starved motorists, fleet operators, automotive dealers and commercial vehicle owners.

The new 5,400 square metres centre at 249 Jalan Boon Lay (JBL) is a one-stop shop that provides the convenience of a full range of independent vehicle inspection services, insurance renewal (with highly competitive premiums from up to 18 insurers), hassle-free road tax renewal and other related services.

The JBL centre's inspection services include mandatory LTA road worthiness inspections for private cars and commercial vehicles, Vehicle Inspection & Type Approval System (VITAS) and Chassis Dynamometer Smoke Tests (CDST) for diesel-engine vehicles as required by the National Environment Agency. Speed and accuracy of turnaround is supported by an advanced computerised tracking system, the latest automotive inspection software, leading-edge test equipment and multiple inspection lines.

As part of its opening celebrations till end October 2009, STA Inspection is giving all vehicle inspection customers a 5% discount and, additionally, will be donating 5% of its revenue from the new JBL Centre to the Yellow Ribbon Project. The amount raised is expected to exceed S$30,000 and will be channelled towards programmes for children of inmates and ex-offenders, in areas such as education, counselling, development and financial assistance programmes.

STA Inspection centres are opened from Monday to Friday from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm, and on Saturday from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm (closed on Sundays and Public Holidays). All centres serve a variety of vehicles ranging from saloon cars, motorcycles and flat-bed pick-up trucks to lorries, buses and other heavy-duty vehicles.
