In a recent annual league table compiled by The Straits Times and global research company Statista, a host of automobile brands have made the Singapore's Best Employers 2025 list, which ranks the top 250 firms among companies and institutions with at least 200 employees.
The report states that this was based on an online survey conducted between October to November 2024, which allowed eligible employees to recommend their own company as well as other employers within the same sector, and garnered responses from 14,000 staff from around 2,000 organisations in 27 sectors.
A number of automobile brands made it into the list, with BMW Group Asia coming in at third place. The next closest was Hyundai, which currently operates HMGICS in Singapore, at 21st. Following on, another BMW-affiliated brand has made the Top 100, with official dealer Performance Motors Limited in 78th place.
Besides a couple of other automotive-related brands (including Continental Automotive and Shell) making it into the list, no other car manufacturer managed to make it anywhere else on the list.
Also, in case you were curious, Statista's own website also hosts a "Best Employers Asia-Pacific 2025" ranking, and among the automobile brands in the Top 100, Toyota ranked 13th, BMW made yet another appearance at 19th, Isuzu Motors and Mitsubishi ranked a place apart (23rd and 24th respectively), while Nissan took 59th spot.
