Stronger together: Audi pledges aid for flood victims in Germany

Audi has initiated an employee-driven fundraising campaign to support victims of the flooding in the badly-hit German regions of Rhineland-Palatinate, North Rhine-Westphalia, Bavaria, and Saxony.

One part of the donations will go toward emergency aid, especially the urgent provision of relief aid and emergency medical aid for those at ground zero. The other part will go towards long-term projects that deal with the rebuilding of infrastructure in the affected regions.

"In times of crisis, it's important to stick together and help one another. All the people in the disaster areas have our deepest sympathy," said Sabine Maassen, Member of Audi's Board of Management for Human Resources and Organisation.

Together with the staff of Audi Brussels, Audi has promised to raise its staff's contributions to a six-figure amount. Aid efforts will also be directed to Belgium, which was affected by the floods.
