Subaru BRZ hits town amidst much anticipation

Subaru's new sportscar – BRZ, has finally arrived on local shores. Local fans of the blue-badge will be delighted to know that Singapore is one of the first few countries to sample the latest offering from Subaru.

The new car embodies the marque’s passion to create the best possible driver’s car. The latest generation boxer engine incorporates direct and port injection technology. The end result: a more responsive powerplant with more power and reduced fuel efficiency. Its high revving nature will ensure a driving experience with no lack of adrenaline rush.

On the other hand, the BRZ utilises high-tensile steel for lightweight construction of the chassis and body, without compromising on structural rigidity. To ensure better driving dynamics, the engine is placed as low as possible.

Executive Director of Tan Chong International Limited, Mr Glenn Tan, revealed the BRZ to the crowd of media and public at Clarke Quay. Sharing his enthusiasm, he said,” There has been mounting anticipation for the BRZ since it received outstanding reviews at the Los Angeles Auto Show and Tokyo Auto Show late last year. With a low centre of gravity, a sleek and sexy look and a newly developed engine, we are thrilled to be able to present the BRZ.” He is confident that in line with the pure handling delight philosophy of the marque, the BRZ will offer a driving experience that surpasses all expectations.

The new BRZ is available at both Subaru showrooms, at 25 Leng Kee Road and 19 Lorong 8 Toa Payoh.
