Subaru has revealed the new 2024 Impreza at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The sixth generation Impreza has received a new design, improved performance, enhanced safety features, and updated multimedia technology.
For 2024, Subaru has streamlined the Impreza model line to greater emphasise the vehicle's sportiness, versatility and capability. The car will also come exclusively as a five-door hatchback when it arrives at Subaru retailers in the U.S.A.
The new Impreza will be available exclusively as a five-door hatchback when it arrives at Subaru retailers Standard across the model line is a revised Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system, offering a faster response time, more agile handling and better cornering. The all-wheel drive system has also been enhanced with standard Active Torque Vectoring.
The Base and Sport trims are equipped with a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder direct injection Subaru Boxer engine producing 150bhp and 196Nm of torque.
Meanwhile, the new RS has the 2.5-litre Boxer engine, helping it to deliver 179bhp and 241Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a Lineartronic CVT, featuring an eight-speed manual mode with steering wheel paddle shifters.
The new Impreza also receives a version of the WRX's dual-pinion electronic power steering rack, which Subaru claims will offer more direct and natural steering feel along with greater responsiveness.
The Subaru Global Platform for the Impreza has also been enhanced with 10% higher torsional rigidity. A full inner frame construction and additional structural adhesive contributes to better body rigidity and lighter weight.
The cabin benefits from more focus on the occupants and their interaction with the vehicle. A more supportive front seat design increases overall comfort and minimises fatigue. Effort has also been made to reduce sounds within particular frequency ranges in order to create a quieter cabin.
For the first time, the Subaru Starlink 11.6-inch Multimedia Plus system is available for the Impreza. The 11.6-inch high-resolution touchscreen is equipped with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with a full screen display. The multimedia system also works as a centre information display with combination meter integration and on-screen controls for audio, climate, and vehicle functions.

The RS also includes an upgraded leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter, aluminum alloy pedals, heated front seats, and rear USB charge ports.
