Subaru reveals go-faster Forester tS with STI performance parts

The Forester tS is based on the Forester S-Edition that was showcased at the Australian Motor Show earlier this month, and is powered by the same 2.5-litre turbocharged Boxer engine that produces 258bhp and 347Nm of torque that was featured in the Forester S-Edition.

The Forester tS will be a Japanese-market only model, and among the performance parts it will receive from Subaru's tuning arm include a modified suspension that has been lowered by 15mm from the standard car, and consists of STI-tuned dampers and springs and flexible front and rear sway bars.

Other enhancements to the Forester tS include new 17-inch alloys, a front spoiler, tS logos around the car, STI sport seats inside upholstered in a mix of leather and Alcantara, as well as a sports steering wheel and a slightly modified instrument panel. There will also be a choice of four exterior colours for customers to choose from, and Subaru will limit production of the Forester tS to just 300 units.
