Subaru to reveal new WRX TR at Subiefest Florida

Subaru of America, Inc. has announced that it will be debuting a sharper and more enthusiast-focused WRX TR at Subiefest Florida, with the help of Subaru Motorsports U.S.A Driver and extreme sport icon Travis Pastrana as well as legendary Professional Skateboarder and Rallycross Driver Bucky Lasek.
The sole teaser image of the car offered shows the WRX TR is set to get Brembo brakes as well as a set of side skirts, but little else has yet been revealed about the car. The 'TR' name was last used in 2006, to denote a 'Tuner Ready' model that came with a 2.5-litre turbocharged engine but came without many accessories such as the rear spoiler and other aerodynamic pieces. The car also came with basic trim seats, as all these parts were expected to be replaced for aftermarket items.
The annual gathering of Subaru enthusiasts is set to take place at Daytona International Speedway, Daytona Beach, Florida come 7 October 2023.
Fans attending the event will be offered the opportunity to drive their own Subarus on specially designed autocross courses and admire a curated showcase of vintage and special edition vehicles. The Subaru Motorsports U.S.A rally cars and Gymkhana models will also be on display at the event. Participants to the event will also be treated to the opportunity to enjoy an all-Subaru car show.
